CHILDREN'S LITERATURE - BOOKS TO SING
Written by Tony Johnston
Illustrated by Rich Deals
ISBN: 978-0-439-45948-8
This charming countdown of turkeys can be sung quite easily to the melody of We Are Playing in the Forest. This makes an excellent book to use with GR 1 as you continue to prepare and/or label and practice la with your students. Use die-cut turkeys to create simply B Section melodies to sing between each of the verses in the story and you'll have a wonderful song that kids created - they will simply "gobble" it up!
